Shopee is a marketplace e-commerce platform that operates in seven countries in Asia - the Philippines, Malaysia, Taiwan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore.
As we've already written, Shopee is an excellent online sales channel, especially for sellers who focus on the beauty, fashion, and home categories. They also have a really great Shopee seller backend and we intend to write about that today.

What is the Shopee Seller Center?
The Shopee Seller Center was developed so that sellers have an easy-to-use platform for creating their Shopee listing, customizing their business page, and more.
In addition to product and store management, you can also run promotions and advertising campaigns. These campaigns allow you to attract potential buyers to your products and storefront.
This is also where you can organize your sales and data. Certain features and functions are available to check your business performance on the go.
Shopee Seller Center Features
When you log into your Shopee Seller Center, the dashboard is what catches your eye the most. Here you will find an overview of your most important key figures such as to-do list, business insights, marketing center, performance and penalty.
The sidebar
There is also a sidebar where you can find the most useful features of the Shopee Seller Center. Let's start with the order menu.
My Orders
Here you will find all orders that you have received in your online shop.
You can go to the Pending tab to see which orders need your attention. On the Processed tab you will find products that have already been shipped.
The status of your orders is also displayed here in detail. The different product fulfillment statuses are as follows:
- To ship
- Shipment
- Closed
- cancellation
- Return/Refund
You can export your data to record your orders offline. The calendar feature allows you to view orders created on specific timelines.
ship orders
You can go to this page if you want to send your products to be shipped. It is possible to send orders individually or to carry out a bulk delivery.
Return/Refund
This is the page to visit when you need to process a return or refund order. Here you can find out the status of the returned product, not to mention the amount you have to refund the customer.
Under the Products menu you will find My Products, Add New Product and Discontinued Products.
My products
If you need an overview of all your products on Shopee, this is the place to look. You can view all your items that have been pushed live, as well as those that are already sold out, suspended or unlisted.
When you click Add New Product in the sidebar, you will be automatically taken to a product listing page where you can fill in the information for the item you wish to sell to your online store.
You can also find this function on the My Products page. Just click on the button as indicated in the image above.
Exposed Products
Here you can find the products that have been flagged with errors by the Shopee team. If some of your product listings don't comply with Shopee's shop policies, they will be temporarily marked as suspended until you fix the error. After you edit the product listing, the Shopee team will review it again before it can go live.
Under the Marketing Center menu you will only find My Ads and one more Marketing Center button, but if you click on the latter you will find that there are other marketing options you can take advantage of, namely:
- The campaign
- My Ads
- Best Choice
- Shipping cost promotion
- discount promotions
- Bundle offer
- additional offer
- coupons
- price follow
My ads on this page are among those you can also find under the Marketing Center menu in the sidebar.
The finance menu lets you manage your store sales, not to mention withdraw the money you have in your bank account.
My Income
This section is protected because it contains the sales you have made on your online store. This will prompt you to enter your account password to access this tab.
You can only withdraw your funds when it has already been confirmed that the product has been successfully delivered to the customer's address.
On the "My Income" page there are tabs "To be released" and "Released". You can transfer your released balance to your bank. Meanwhile, you have to wait for the delivery confirmation to touch the funds not released yet.
my balance
When you go to this section, you will be asked to create a PIN for your wallet. A code will be sent to your phone which will be your PIN. Just verify the PIN and then you're good to go.
If you want to withdraw your money, this is where you should go.
You need to link your bank account to which you want to transfer your money. Click Add Bank Account.
Tap the box.
Enter the name you used for your bank account and account number in the appropriate fields. You can then select your bank name from the drop down menu. Click on "Save".
My Balance also allows you to search through all your recent transactions. Filter them by Order Income, Withdrawals, Order Refunds, Customization, Wallet Payment, and Ad Balance Auto-Refill. You also have the option to export your transaction history for your records. Use the calendar function to search for specific dates.
bank accounts
Here you can see all your bank accounts. You can also add more bank accounts in this section. At this time, Shopee does not offer you the option to delete existing bank accounts.
In the data menu you can analyze your performance. The insights you find here can help you determine future actions to improve sales.
business insights
Business Insights gives a numerical overview of the performance of your online store. It provides you with data on your sales, orders, conversion rates, sales per order, visitors and page views.
This is also where you'll see your top performing products and categories. This information is helpful in selecting items to spend on campaigns and promotions.
Business Insights is the place to go if you want a quantitative overview of your current marketing efforts. It gives you an estimate of the sales, units sold, orders, buyers, sales per buyer that you've made from your ads and campaigns.
You can review your current campaigns as well as those that have already gone through the calendar feature. For a deeper dive into Shopee Business Insights, you can check out a blog post we wrote aboutShopee Business Insights – An overview of the analytics available in the Shopee Seller Center.
my performance
My performance serves as a scorecard for your online store. It offers you your most up-to-date rating in terms of various metrics, namely:
- default
- cancellation
- Returns and Refunds
- Shipping Lead Time
- Delayed Shipping
- rating of the rating
- The response rate in customer chats
- Response time in customer chats
- list violations
When you check in to My Performance, you will be told whether or not you are a penalty candidate. You can also identify the factors that may have led to your most recent penalty points.
my punishment
Here you can see all your penalty points. This will detail the date you received the penalty points, the nature of the violation and an explanation of why you received the penalty.
Shop Rating
You can find your overall rating in the left corner of the page. There is an option to view your ratings per product by entering the product name. To narrow your search, you can also enter the variant name, the customer's username, and the time of the review.
You can filter the review search by the review stars you have received, have not yet responded to, and have already responded.
Shop Profile
Here you will find the basic information about your shop profile, e.g. B. the number of your products, shop rate, non-satisfaction rate, response rate and response time.
You can also change your shop name, add images and videos, and update your shop description.
shop decoration
Shopee gives you the opportunity to customize the appearance of your shop through shop decoration. You can add banners, videos and carousels to your shop homepage. You can also use the shop decoration to highlight certain products (especially bestselling products and campaign candidates). For more information about this feature, seeShop Decoration - Complete Guide of Split Dragon.
The Shop Category
You cannot delete automatic or Shopee-created categories, only the ones you created manually using the Add Custom Category option. If you don't want to use an automatic or Shopee category, you can easily make it invisible by clicking the visibility ticker.
Organizing your product categories can help increase your sales as it makes it easier for customers to find your products.
my reports
The reports you'll find in this section are just an organized version of the data found in the Order, Product, Marketing Center, Financial, and Data sections of the Shopee Seller Center app.
Under "My Reports" you can see your reports in all of these areas for the last six months.
The settings menu is crucial and something you need to visit at the beginning of your Shopee registration as a seller.
My shipping
Here you can set up the shipping channels that you want to support in your Shopee store.
Each shipping courier has its own terms and conditions. Make sure you go through the terms and conditions of the courier you want to enable for your business.
You have the option to enable cash on delivery payment for the couriers you will be working with.
You can let customers know how long their products will be shipped from the day the order is placed. In this way, you can create expectations in the customer. In the Delivery time section, click the Edit button.
Enter a number and click Update.
my addresses
Here you can set up your delivery, return and collection addresses. You can create many addresses but only set one as your pickup address.
Click Add New Address to begin.
To set an address as a pickup, return, or delivery address, select a current address, then click Edit.
Mark the desired configuration for the current address. Click on "Save".
basic settings
You can secure your account in the basic settings. Under shop settings you can activate the shop protection function. Shopee tracks suspicious activity on your account and prompts you to enter an OTP the next time you log in. The OTP is sent via your registered mobile phone number, so no one else can access the code.
If you are planning a trip or are inactive in your shop for a period of time, you can also activate vacation mode. When this feature is enabled, buyers cannot add your product to their cart. By opting for vacation mode, you can prevent negative reviews caused by longer deliveries or lack of customer service.
We have discussed in the previous sections how you need to create a wallet PIN to access your funds. You can also create your wallet PIN manually under payment settings. There is also an option to update the current pin.
Under privacy settings you can hide your likes and comment activity from your followers. If you are inconvenienced by other sellers or buyers, you can also block specific users.
You can enable or disable the negotiation feature. Negotiation is the buyer's ability to send you offers on your products via chat.
You can also decide if you want to message people from your profile page. This feature was built with buyers in mind, but as a seller, you benefit from having people message you directly from your profile page.
There is also an option to set up an auto reply in your chat messages. The purpose is to reduce the need to manually send replies to customers inquiring about general policies or promotions for your products.
notification settings
Here you can specify whether or not you want to receive email or push notifications. It is highly recommended that you at least turn on your push notifications to be aware of orders.
Account
Here you can update the following information:
- Profile
- Telephone
- Social-Media-Content
- password
- Partnerplattform
Note that you will need to re-enter your password to get to this section for verification purposes.
Conclusion
Getting a good grasp of the Shopee Seller Center can mean a lot to a seller trying to manage their online business. However, the seller center is not the only thing that you will play when you get into the online selling industry.
